SUMMARY – 6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS
3 nights - Highlander Hotel, Mount Hagen
1 night - Kumul lodge, Mount Hagen
1 night - Gateway Hotel, Port Moresby
DAY 1
Upon arrival in Port Moresby and our staff will meet/greet and transfer you to your domestic flight to Mount Hagen.
Arrive at the Kagamuga Airport in Mount Hagen, our driver and guide will meet/greet and transfer you to your hotel as scheduled. Overnight: Highlander Hotel (--D)
DAY 2
Enjoy a full day birding tour in and around the Mount Hagen area including some areas in the Jiwaka province (newly established province). We have the best birding guide who can take you to the areas where you would enjoy bird watching.
Overnight: Highlander Hotel (BLD)
DAY 3
Second full day birding at Kumul Lodge. It is an excellent destination for birding and is the only bird lodge in Papua New Guinea where Birds of Paradise are amongst the regulars at the lodge feeders. Other regulars at the feeders include Brehm's Tiger Parrot, Smoky Honeyeater, Belford's Melidectes, Island Thrush, Chestnut Forest Rail, Crested Berrypecker and White-winged Robin. At the end of the day, you will retire at the lodge.
Overnight: Kumul Lodge (BLD)
DAY 4
Early breakfast in the morning and then proceed on with a half day birding tour around the Kumul lodge area. You will have lunch there and then you drive back to the Mount Hagen city where you will overnight at the Highlander Hotel. Spend the afternoon on leisure.

DAY 5
After breakfast, our driver and guide will pick you up at Highlander Hotel to Kagamuga Airport for your flight to Port Moresby.
Upon arrival in Port Moresby, you will meet/greet our staff who will assist you to your outgoing international flight back home. (B)
