Mung Kenhy Tours is a tour company based in Mount Hagen in the heart of the Highlands region of Papua New Guinea. The company has been registered with PNG Investment Promotion Authority in 2018 and PNG Tourism Promotion Authority in 2019. It is 100 % nationaly owned and offers pre-packaged and customized tours in the Highlands and Coastal provinces of Papua New Guinea.
The company name Mung Kenhy was derived from the Melpa words (Local Western Highlands language). Mung means "eyes" and Kenhy means "see". The concept of "eyes and "see" came about when the Tour Operator, Mrs. Sheila Kuli realised that all tourists that travel the globe take with them their "eyes" to "see" and take back those memories in their cameras. That’s where she took out the name "Mung - eyes" and "Kenhy - see" to form the company name " Mung Kenhy Tours".
